XMP was formed out of the 'X Members' of other locally known bands {Hate Daises, Malakai, Acoma, & Confuct}. These bands unfortunatly all had broken up nearly at the same time; leaving so much talent to be wasted. Sick of being bandless and watching the local music go to utter crap, Strychnine and PJ decided to get back onto the scene.

They didnt want this band to end up like so many of the rest, by building a name just to fade away. It was decided that if this band is to happen a certain amount of guidlines or rules need to be put into place. This became known as 'THE CODE'; it consisted of every line that cannot be crossed, every step that must be taken for success, and every action that must be taken for special occurrances. The Code is the law, it is the bible, it is the heartbeat of the band, it is to be followed at all times; it is in writing and signed by all followers.

They then needed to fill in the positions for the band; they decided that they needed to capture some of that unused talent out there and recruit other 'X Members'. After many tryouts the lineup was complete; 5 members consisting of Chris on Drums, Arsonic on Bass & Backing Vocals, Rizzo on Lead Guitar, PJ on Synth, Guitar, Scratching, & Sampling, and Strychnine on Lead Vocals; The music combines nearly every musical style out there; containing both synthetic & live drum beats, pounding basslines, hard hitting guitar riffs, rhythmic acoustic guitars, soothing synths, a varity of multimedia clips, feverish scratches, and all topped off with the catchy lyrics in a blend of rock and rap vocal styles.

From show #1 XMP went from the new guys to the headliners, The revolution had begun. Fans multiplied, the infection spread, the music became a fix; and so Project X was started. Project X is not just a street team or a mailing list, it consists of those who want to be a part of the whole Project, it's the fans, the friends, the family, the crew, the band; its the support behind the band. Every Revolution turns from a War, every War has an Army, every Army has a Leader. The X Member Project is Ours.
