07/01/04 - We DO have a new drummer, I wont say who just yet. But he is a familiar face, we are currently practicing with him. Also artwork for the cd is done and about a third of the album is completely done.
06/18/04 - XMP will be back soon! Currently we are trying out drummers, we WILL pick one of them, I cant say which one yet but I'll let you all know as soon as we decide. Also the cd will be out very very soon. We are finishing recording up this coming week, the booklet and tray cards are almost done and just will need printed out. The album will be called "X Member Project - Chapter 1: Today's Crisis". Ill keep you updated, We will be back into shows and everything soon just hang in there with us.
05/27/04 - So as you have already heard, Chris has left us, he just up and quit on us. So we will NOT be playing this Saturday, sorry. But the band he left us all for, Trendy Bastard, will be playing; so you can all let him know how you feel when they play. We arent sure if we can find a new drummer and replace him or just end it here. This is a sad day for XMP. We apprieciate all the support we have gotten from all of you. I really cant say what we will do. But for every bad thing there is a good thing, and that is that Jeff "Mr. Strychnine" Ruffner is going to be a daddy, so Congrats to him. Until we know what to do for sure, i guess this is goodbye.
05/25/04 - So we are officially a 5-piece now, check us out this Saturday May 29th at the MCSA, It should be a pretty sweet show. We are gettin back up to speed slowly but surely, we got all new songs comin, all new merch comin, and new shows on there way too. As far as the sites goin, I got a bunch more hidden stuff youll just have to search for, and coming soon to the Project X site will be an avatar chatroom; so if you havent signed up yet, get your ass movin and sign up, its FREE so why wouldnt you?
05/12/04 - Sorry for the lack of update, but I've been in Florida. Anyhow, Skatepark Show is this Friday. Alot of bands we've never played with gonna be there for this show. If you didnt see it they did an article in the Muscatine Journal about us and this show, so hopefully we'll see some new faces, and all of you familiar faces better be there as well. Dont worry about if it rains, it wont be cancelled. Im workin on getting a huge tent. Also We are now just a five piece, It will NOT effect our music at all. But we do want to thank and say farewell to Tribe X (Aaron), Friday will be his last show with us, so show him love. Also we are unsure wether or not we are still playing the Illinois City show, We arent sure if its still going on or not. But anyhow, im back now so ill keep things up.
04/27/04 - We've spent some more time in the studio, this cd is gonna be awesome. But anyhow we are about done with our month off from shows, although we arent even done with this cd, we've already begun writing songs for another cd. We've already gotten 2 shows booked this month, one here in muscatine at the skatepark and the other is in Illinois City; We'll have a hell of a lot more coming soon. So how does everyone like the site? Keep on the lookout as more hidden stuff becomes available.
04/20/04 - This is the new website; it is still under construction. We are finishing up some more recording this weekend; it is possible we could finish it! Two new shows, one at the Skatepark and one in Illinois City, Free Beer for anyone 21 and up.
04/08/04 - We are currently taking a month off so we can do a couple things: 1. We have a new member added to the line-up; so he will be getting caught up. & 2. We are recording our album. We also want to apologize to all those who came to the show on April 3rd; so to make-up for it here is a peek at the New Website; it is not finished yet but will be done soon.
04/02/04 - Hope everyone had a great time at the battle last weekend; I know we sure did. So from what I hear even though they yanked our bucket from being voted for 1 & a half hours early, I guess we STILL had more votes than the winners. Thats pretty awesome; but unfortunately we got disqualified for breaking not 1, not 2, but EVERY single rule in the contract. That's pretty sweet too. In all
honesty, we did want to follow the rules and try and win, but we just kept bending the rules too many times, so by then it was like "Fuck it". Anyways we will be playing this Saturday, when? I have no clue, so just come and by 10pm you'll have seen us, OK. cool, cya.
03/23/04 - We began recording our full-length album this weekend, and it went very well and sounds awesome. We should have it done and out on the streets by this summer, but we have no official release date as of yet. In other news, this Weekend/March 27th/Battle of the Bands!! Please, Please, Please dont miss this show. We need all the support we can get from everybody. Please be there everyone.
03/14/04 - OK so Umm, in case any of you are wondering what in the hell was going on at the show last night; Basically Strychnine and the Police werent seeing eye to eye and so they said to him he must leave the building or he was goin to jail. So he left and they said if he comes back they will arrest him. Well we were up next to play, so we couldnt just leave you guys with no XMP. So after a quick clothes change, a ski mask,
a 90 foot long microphone cord, numerous distractions, and switch ups between 2 different back doors; he got right on stage and we play our most aggressive show to date. I hoped you all enjoyed the "Fuck the Police" rendition of our 'Fuck the Sky'; I know the Cops did. So anyhow thanks to everyone for coming to see us on such short notice, also thenks to Brian and Dave of Vallynn for having us.
And extra special thanks to Tim of Left at the Light for helping out with the sound, long ass cord, and for helping us get Strychnine out of the building at the end of the show.
03/12/04 - Hey everyone, we have a new show, its all very last minute, we didnt even know til last night. We will be headlining so please come out and see us ok.

03/06/04 - Thanx guys for coming out tonight, you guys were awesome (even though Strychnine was messin with you and said you weren't); that was one hell of a show. Well next weekends show is now cancelled so that sux, dont worry we'll be back on March 27th for the Battle of the Bands show; IT IS MUY IMPORTANTE THAT YOU ALL GO; help us out, help by screaming your sweet asses off as hard as you can for us! 03/05/04 - SHOW TONIGHT! I have some really good news, due to the turn out of our last few shows, along with t-shirt sales & stuff; we now have the funds to record in a really good studio. We've gotten booked to record with Inner Light Records, the quality of music these guys turn out is absolutly amazing. So a professional full length CD is on its way; until then I'll keep posting the mp3's we've done ourselves on here. well its time to play, cya.

02/16/04 - So many thanks to all the 150+ people that came out and watched us on friday. That place only has a capacity of 88 people in that room, but we nearly doubled that. For it being Friday the 13th and all; We had a really great night and we hope you guys did too.
Sorry to those who didnt get a shirt, i know i kinda suprised everyone with em. anyhow we got a small break for about a month, but we promise to have the demo done by them and more merchandise and also have at least one new song, and as always we promise to put on a hell of a show as long as you guys promise to be there. cya

01/18/04 - I took off the scrolling text here on the news page, sorry for those of you that liked it, i just got too many complaints. Anyhow, yesterday we finished up all the music for 1 of our 2 cds, also we started on the
vocals, and they should be finished by the end of the week, therefore all we have left is the mixdown and mastering of it and it'll be done and ready. Also dont forget that we have a show this weekend!!

08/23/03 - Sorry for any problems with the site lately, we were hurt badly by the blackouts in New York, it messed the site up and had it down for a little while.
Im trying to fix all the problems still, but we should be back up and running at full speed soon. Big news though, we are trying out bass players this week.

08/11/03 - We want to welcome our new drummer Chris to the X Member Project. Also, still no shows but we are working on it i promise.

06/27/03 - I added a CONTACT page, it lists a few of the members' emails. I also tweaked a few other things within the site. Musically things are flowing steadily, still no word on shows as of yet.

06/05/03 - XMP is here! The X Member Project is composed of former members of the Hate Daises, Griskin, and Malakai. We are currently in the writing process and plan to start
playing shows by the end of summer, with a full schedule in effect by the fall. The website is still under construction, but should be up and finished within weeks.
